American Country Western Musician Bob Livingston on Tour in Vietnam, January 2-14, 2008

The U.S. Embassy in Hanoi and the U.S. Consulate General in Ho Chi Minh City are pleased to present American Country Western music duo Bob and Tucker Livingston, who will tour Vietnam January 2-14, 2008. 

At 8:00 p.m. on January 4, the duo will perform in Ho Chi Minh City at the HCMC Youth Cultural House, 4 Pham Ngoc Thach Street, District 1. On January 5, they will offer an 8:00 p.m. show at the Dien Bien Theater, 32 Do Chieu Street, Vung Tau.   The group will move on to Hanoi for a January 10 concert at the My Dinh stadium, a January 11 concert at Viet Bac College of Culture and Arts, and a January 12 performance at Ha Long College of Culture, Art and Tourism in Quang Ninh.  The Bob Livingston Band will also conduct master classes for students of the Ho Chi Minh City and Hanoi Conservatories of Music.

The father and son duo, made up of Bob Livingston and his son Tucker, has toured the U.S. and performed in Asia, Africa, and the Middle East on grants from the U.S. Government. A founding member of the acclaimed Texas group The Lost Gonzo Band, Bob Livingston released an acclaimed solo album, Mahatma Gandhi & Sitting Bull, in 2004. The Austin-American Statesman chose it as one of the top-ten records of the year. Singer and songwriter Tucker Livingston has been a featured artist at the famous Austin City Limits Music Festival, the Kerrville Folk Festival, and on Voice of America. In addition to the U.S. State Department, program sponsors are the New World Hotel, Vietnam-American Training College (VATC), M&M Entertainment Company, Lien Huong Ao Dai, Thanh Liem Service Company Limited, and Phuong Nam Cultural Corporation.

Ticket Information

Tickets for the concerts in Ho Chi Minh City and Vung Tau are provided free. Performances in Thai Nguyen & Ha Long are free. Tickets for the concert in Hanoi will be sold for charity.
