2009 Study of the United States Institutes for Scholars and Secondary School Educators

The Public Affairs Section (PAS), U.S. Embassy Hanoi, is seeking suitable candidates to nominate for the 2009 Study of the United States Institutes (SUSI) for scholars and secondary school educators. The application deadline for these programs is Monday, January 19, 2009. Selections will be announced in early April 2009.

Study of the United States Institutes are intensive post-graduate level academic programs with integrated study tours whose purpose is to provide foreign university faculty and other scholars the opportunity to deepen their understanding of American society, culture and institutions.

Eligible candidates for the Study of the United States Institutes should be highly motivated university lecturers or researchers in American Studies, secondary teachers, teacher trainers, curriculum developers, textbook writers, ministry of education officials, or other related professionals, who is seeking to introduce aspects of U.S. studies into their curricula. Applicants must also have a good command in English.
