U.S. Ambassador Marine to visit Thai Binh and Hai Phong, November 28-29

U.S. Ambassador to Vietnam Michael W. Marine will visit Thai Binh province and Hai Phong City on November 28 and 29.

In Thai Binh, the Ambassador will hold meetings with Provincial People’s Committee Chairman Nguyễn Duy Việt and Provincial Party Secretary Bùi Tiến Dũng.  He will then visit a project to monitor Avian Influenza at Kien Xuong District Hospital, which is funded by the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC).  He will also visit Khả Cảnh Protestant Church in Kiến Xương District before leaving for Haiphong.

In Haiphong, Ambassador Marine will join Vietnamese and American judges to preside over an English contest for students of six Hai Phong universities and colleges, which will be held at Haiphong Private University, Du Hang Kenh Street, Le Chan District, from 8 a.m. to 11 a.m. on November 29.  Sponsors and supporters for the contest include the U.S. Embassy in Hanoi, Haiphong Chinfon Cement Company and Tyndale Center of International Education.
