U.S. Embassy To Host Conference On U.S. Higher Education System

The U.S. Embassy's Public Affairs Section will host a conference on the U.S. Higher Education system on October 26, 2007 in Hanoi, as part of the Oct. 25-29 Second International Book Fair. As part of this important event, Professor Lam Quang Thiep, co-author of the Vietnamese-language book "U.S. Higher Education," will discuss U.S. Higher Education and lessons that Vietnam might learn from it.

Dr. Lam Quang Thiep is the former Director of Higher Education Department, Ministry of Education and Training. He was a researcher at New York State University in Buffalo under the 2002 Fulbright Scholar Program.

The conference, which will be open to the public and the media, will be held from 4:00 p.m.-5:30 p.m., Friday, October 26, 2007, in the Conference Hall, 3rd Floor, Building M3, Van Ho Exhibition Center, 2 Hoa Lu Street, Hanoi.
