AlphaBooks Releases Vietnamese Version of “Law 101: Everything You Need to Know About American Law”

July 25, 2012

HANOI, July 25, 2012 – Publisher AlphaBooks has released a Vietnamese translation of Jay Feinman’s “Law 101: Everything You Need to Know About American Law,” with support from the U.S. Department of State.

“This book will help lecturers and students in Vietnam better understand the U.S. legal system,” said Vietnam National University Law Professor Nguyen Dang Dung. “This will in turn provide a deeper understanding about Vietnam’s own legal system.”

Of the initial print run of 1,000, 300 will be made available to university staff and government officials in Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City.  Several copies will be available at the U.S. Embassy’s American Center library, located at 170 Ngoc Khanh Street in Hanoi and open to the public Monday through Friday.  The remaining copies will be sold by AlphaBooks at a cover price of VND 119,000 per hard-cover edition.

The publication was made possible through a grant from the U.S. Department of State’s “America 21: Books in Translation Program,” which supports the translation and reprinting of the best works of American thought for foreign audiences.
