Visit of U.S. Ambassador to Thái Nguyên, Bắc Giang and Lạng Sơn Provinces

U.S. Ambassador to Vietnam Michael W. Marine will visit Thái Nguyên, Bắc Giang and Lạng Sơn Provinces from July 5-7.

In Thai Nguyen, the Ambassador will meet with Mr. Nguyễn Văn Kim, Chairman of Thái Nguyên People’s Committee, and Mr. Nguyễn Đắc Son, Thái Nguyên Party Secretary.  He will also visit Thái Nguyên Bright Futures Group and the U.S. Embassy-funded English Mobile Library at Thai Nguyen University.  The Ambassador will conclude his visit to Thai Nguyen with visits to SMARTWORK Program and Thái Nguyên parish church.

In Bắc Giang, Ambassador Marine will meet with Mr. Thân Văn Mưu, Chairman of Bắc Giang People’s Committee, and Mr. Đào Xuân Cần, Bắc Giang Party Secretary.  He will also visit a Baptist house church while in the province.

In Lạng Sơn, the Ambassador will meet with Mr. Đoàn Bá Nhiên, Chairman of Lạng Sơn People’s Committee, and Mr. Vũ Huy Hoàng, Lạng Sơn Party Secretary.  After the meetings, he will visit a Protestant church and Lạng Sơn Cathedral.  Before wrapping up his trip, he will visit a UNODC-led, U.S.-funded Drug Interdiction Task Force Unit in Lang Son.
