USCDC to sign HIV/AIDS cooperative agreement with Vietnam's NIHE, June 1, 2006
The U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) has awarded the Vietnamese Ministry of Health the project Partnering with the National Institute of Hygiene and Epidemiology (NIHE) to Enhance Public Health Capacity for HIV Prevention and Care Activities in Vietnam, as part of the US President's Emergency Plan for AIDS Relief (PEPFAR).
A cooperative agreement on the project will be signed on June 1, 2006 by John Boardman, Deputy Chief of Mission, U.S. Embassy-Hanoi, and Nguyen Tran Hien, Director, NIHE.
Reporters are invited to the signing ceremony on June 1, at 4:00 p.m., at the National Institute of Hygiene and Epidemiology (Main Building, Conference Room, 3rd floor), #1 Yersin Street, Hanoi.
