On November 14, the U.S. Embassy in Hanoi released a video message from U.S. Ambassador to Vietnam David B. Shear announcing the next round of Fulbright Vietnamese Student Program scholarships, and sharing the benefits of study in the U.S. Each year the U.S. State Department’s Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs provides approximately $1 million in scholarship awards for the Fulbright Vietnamese Student Program. The program is a two-year masters program in the U.S. for students of various disciplines in the social sciences, humanities, governance, communication studies, community development, development studies, and business. Participants in the Fulbright Program join a network of highly qualified individuals who contribute to finding solutions to shared international concerns, promote understanding between Vietnam and the U.S., and make important contributions to the development of Vietnam. December 1 is the start date for the next cycle of the Fulbright Vietnamese Scholarship Program.
