Piano Music Fills the Air in Hanoi

From July 11-12, pianist Mark Damisch and his 17-year-old daughter Alexandra held two piano recitals at the American Center Hanoi and Vietnam National Academy of Music.  Both concerts were free and open to the public.  The talented father and daughter duo performed both classical and American tunes from the 1960s through 1990s. These cultural exchanges are part of an annual celebration of the anniversary of normalized ties between the United States and Vietnam, marked each year on July 12.
