Fulbright Program in Vietnam
The Regional Travel Program For U.S. Scholars
The Regional Travel Program offers Vietnamese institutions the opportunity to benefit from the academic and professional expertise of U.S. Fulbright Senior Scholars based in other East Asia Pacific (EAP) countries.
Scope of Activity: The visit itself should be used to enhance and support the joint interests of the visiting Fulbright scholar and his/her Vietnamese host institution collaborators. Activities may include:
• Lectures
• Graduate or faculty seminars
• Curricular advising
• Public lectures
• Panel presentations
or some combination thereof. Fulbrighters in the arts may be invited to give master classes or recitals, participate in exhibitions or workshops, or consult with cultural institutions.
Program Guidelines: As a general rule, programs should last at least three (3) days but not more than two (2) weeks.
Funding Arrangements: Cost sharing by Vietnamese host institutions and Fulbright Program is highly desirable. The Fulbright Program in Vietnam pays for the scholar’s travel expenses. The inviting institutions will cover other expenses such as accommodation and meals. Funding will be available on a first-come, first-served basis.
Initiating Requests: All requests for support must be sent to
