The American Center in Hanoi is pleased to announce the creation of the American Studies Forum. If your work involves thinking about or teaching issues related to American Studies, we hope you will join us!

Objective: The primary mission of the American Studies Forum (ASF) is to promote awareness and the exchange of ideas that will lead to a better understanding of the U.S. across vital subject areas such as politics, economics, history, the arts, language and culture.

Membership: ASF welcomes lecturers, graduate students, researchers and teachers of American Studies, international studies, international relations and ESL. There is no fee for membership.

Guest Speakers: The Forum will invite USG officials, alumni of USG-sponsored exchange programs, American research fellows, Fulbright scholars and other available experts, as well as Forum members themselves to present at Forum meetings. Languages to be used here are both English and Vietnamese.

Meetings: Forum meetings will take place once a month on a Saturday morning, 9:00 to 11:30 AM. These may be conducted at the Center or at an alternate host location. Schedule of events to be determined.
