10th Anniversary of Normalization

Ambassador Michael W. Marine with VTV

April 13, 2005

VTV: Mr. Ambassador, this year marks the 10th Anniversary of diplomatic relations between the two countries. Can you highlight the outstanding achievements of the U.S.-Vietnam relation over the last ten years?

Ambassador Marine: I think the most significant achievement has been the way the two sides have been able to work together to expand our cooperation in so many different areas. Whether it be academic exchanges, obviously business ties, military to military relationships. In all of these fields we've seen a tremendous growth in our communication cooperation and our work together.
